The Projectorquest refund policy is designed to be fair and impartial to our customers with respect to each circumstance outlined below. Projectorquest reserves the right to determine the eligibility of a refund, the amount and when it is to be paid on a case by case basis. However, in most all instances, we abide by the guidelines detailed on this page.

Eligible Returns

Items that include a 30-day or 15-day return period in the product description are eligible for a refund upon return. The customer must first obtain a Return Material Approval (RMA) from us and then ship the item back within the designated return period. Once the item passes inspection and testing, a refund can be issued.

Cancelled Orders

If an in-stock item is cancelled prior to shipment, or if a special order item is cancelled prior to placement with the manufacturer, or if we have to cancel the ordered item because we are unable to fulfill it, the customer can obtain a full refund in the amount of the item and any associated shipping cost.

Incorrect Item

If you receive an item other than what was ordered, please notify us as soon as possible. To confirm the item is incorrect, we will need your cooperation, which may require sharing pictures of the received item with our staff. If it is determined we shipped the wrong item, you are eligible for a refund after the item is returned.

We fully understand there are instances where you may need to request a refund. When that request falls within the guidelines set by our Refund Policy, we will work to refund your money as soon as possible. If your refund request falls outside those circumstances where a refund is available, we will make every effort to see if we can make an exception However, please know that normally we must adhere to guidelines set forth in our policy. We have outlined below the most common reasons for why a refund may not be available. We appreciate your understanding for these reasons and adherence to our Refund Policy. Pricing Discrepancy

Prices are displayed on the website in real-time and are subject to change. We strive to ensure accurate pricing information, but errors may occur. In the event of an error, we reserve the right to correct it and adjust your order accordingly. You will then have the option to pay the difference or request a refund. Please be assured we will not charge your credit card without your authorization.

Item Is Unavailable

Product availability is displayed on the website in real-time and is subject to change. We strive to ensure accurate availability information, but  items may go out of stock or production. In these events, you will have the option to use your payment as credit towards another item or request a refund. Please know we may substitute your ordered item with an upgraded or equivalent item.

Return Period

Most of our items include a 30-Day or 15-Day return period from the time your item is delivered. These items can be returned for any reason within this time period as long as you follow the Return Material Authorization (RMA) procedure outlined in our Return Policy. Please note that you may be required to pay all costs associated with the return of the item, unless indicated otherwise.

Restocking Fees

When an eligible item is returned, it may be subject to restocking fees up to 35%. These fees are in place to cover the costs associated with the return including, but not limited to, the manufacturer’s restocking fee, return processing fees, product testing, repackaging and return shipping. The restocking fee is deducted from the total refund amount. Restocking fees may be waived in instances where we shipped the wrong item or the item arrived damaged. Restocking fees may also be waived if you opt for an exchange or upgrade instead of a refund.

Shipping

Shipping is refundable if the ordered item does not ship. Shipping may also be refundable in part or in full if you pay for an express shipping method and the item is not delivered by the expected date because we either did not ship your order using that method or we were unable to use the requested method. If you pay for express shipping and return the item, paid shipping is non-refundable unless the carrier refunds us. If you pay for express shipping and you do not receive your package by the expected date, shipping may be refundable in part or in full. If the delay is on the part of the carrier, we can only issue a refund if the carrier issues a refund to us. Shipping delays due to circumstances beyond our control or the control of the carrier are not refundable.

Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances and the result of the claim filed with the carrier. First, you will need to notify us the item you received is damaged within a week of delivery. If the item was damaged in transit, we kindly ask for your cooperation in helping us to provide the carrier with the required information to file a claim. If the item still works and you wish to keep it or return it for a replacement, depending on the results of the claim, you may be eligible for a partial refund. If you wish to return the damaged item for a refund, once the claim with the carrier is resolved, we will provide you with a refund. If the results of the claim determine that neither Projectorquest nor the carrier is responsible for the damage to the item, then no refund will be issued.

Special Order Items

Special Order items are not eligible for a refund unless noted otherwise or if the item cannot be fulfilled. Since Special Order items are not stocked items, we must order these items for fulfillment directly from the manufacturer. Once we place our order with the manufacturer, we are normally unable to cancel. The manufacturer also normally does not allow for the return of these items, unless it is under warranty for replacement or repair. Therefore, we highly recommend you confirm with our staff that the Special Order part number is correct prior to placing your order.

Warranty Returns

Almost all items we sell include a manufacturer warranty. We typically administer the warranty on behalf of the manufacturer for most items. If you experience any issues with a purchased item during the warranty term, please notify us. We will first attempt to troubleshoot the problem with you. If the issue cannot be resolved, we will work with you to arrange the return of the item for a replacement or upgrade. If the issue continues with the replacement or upgrade, we normally do not provide a refund if it is past the return period and the issue is not with the purchased item itself. If the issue is determined to be with the purchased item, then a refund will be provided after the item is returned, inspected and tested.

Manufacturer Approval

In many instances, whether or not a refund can be issued, when it can be issued and for how much is dependent on the policies and procedures of our manufacturers and distributors. Because of this, our Refund Policy must account for the refund policies of our manufacturers and distributors. These policies allow the manufacturers and distributors more time to approve a refund in case they are backed up. Therefore, we must add the caveat that if your refund is dependent on approval by the manufacturer or distributor, then there may be a delay in issuing the refund until the manufacturer or distributor provides us with their approval.

Damaged Returns

All returned items are inspected and tested. If a good item is returned for a refund and shows any sign of damage or does not test to work properly, then that item will not be eligible for a refund. If that returned item was damaged in transit to us, we will work with the customer if they decide to file a claim with the carrier. All returned items should be properly packaged and insured by the customer.

International Customers

Refunds to international customers will be made in the original payment form made by the customer. Transactional fees may be deducted. In most instances, international customers are responsible for the costs associated with the reutrn of any purchased item for any reason. Any fees, taxes or tariffs charged to Projectorquest for the return of an item for refund will be deducted from the refund amount. All of the terms outlined under our Refund Policy apply to international customers with the exceptions noted here.

Refund Request Procedure

If you need to request a refund, please notify us at sales@projectorquest.com. If you need to return an eligible item for a refund, then it is important that you follow the RMA process outlined in our Return Policy. In some instances, approval by the manufacturer is required before we can issue a refund. Because of this, please allow 1 to 4 weeks for a refund. Refunds can only be issued to the original credit card used to make the purchase. If the card is no longer valid, then the refund will need to be made by check, which will require additional time to process.

Within the US, return shipping costs for defective or incorrectly shipped items will be covered by Projectorquest. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees for reasons other than defects or errors on our part. Customers outside the US may be responsible for any return shipping fees.

Billing Disputes

Any billing disputes must be reported to our customer support team within 30 days of the transaction date. Failure to report within this timeframe waives your right to dispute the transaction.

Cancellation Policy

Orders for in-stock items can be canceled prior to shipment. Orders for Special Order items can be cancelled prior to placement of the order with the manufacturer. Once an order is processed and shipped, it cannot be canceled.
